Permaculture Re-defined

I created this site to hold a record of my creative projects and to include projects of friends who wish to contribute. The original impulse to do this centered on our collective interest in permaculture.

I think the focus of permaculture as a movement may be fundamentally changed in the wake of 2020.   In the current social chaos, what we call permaculture must extend beyond our methods of growing food and building shelters.  The world needs new imaginative models of what is true and what is real, and this is not only the project of intellectuals or experts, but the work of each individual life lived authentically.

Culture is a collective phenomenon made up of all people.  Any activity that reflects a deep connection to one’s own life is defined here as a contribution to permanent culture.
